Manager Shift Change Checklist
Please keep in mind the manager shift change checklist contains 4 pages and an instructions page with a time, temperature log and covers the following areas: kitchen area, prep area, walk-in refrigerator/freezer, service aisle area, dining room area, restrooms, greeting area, and parking lot surroundings.
There are 2 ways to use this checklist:
- Manually print out all 4 forms (Recommend method). It is not that expensive to print out 4 forms per shift. The cost of properly doing this walk-through will pay for itself many times over.
- Print out all 4 forms and place them into sheet protectors, then use dry erase markers to fill out the form.
The manager shift change checklist is designed in setting up the shift prior to the manager actually managing the shift. By doing this walk-through management will identify potential critical issues that may affect customer service. Once the manager pinpoints the issue, they will correct it on the spot or delegate it to a staff member to correct. The manager will have to re-verify that the issue was corrected.
