How do I use the Cash Till Balance Sheets?
At the end of each employee with a cash register, you should walk with the employee to the back office or to a designated counting area.
- If you have a computer or laptop, this program can be opened and then input the information. A manager needs to be present during the counting process, and we also advise having a witness present.
- Either the employee, manager or witness must enter a the information on to the till sheets.
- Never let a manager count the drawer without the employee being present, it leaves an open door to theft. By following these suggested procedures it gives your staff accountability.
